Hello All.
I thought I would post this here because I spend so much time in this forum...
I was browsing at a local garden center this afternoon and overheard a conversation between a woman and a salesperson. She was looking for something that she could apply to her crab apple tree to reduce the amount of fruit it produces (apparently there is a hormone or something that can be sprayed on the tree). The salesperson advised instead that she buy a strong insecticide.
After a pause, the woman asked "Why would I apply an insecticide?" The salesperson responded "That will kill anything that could possibly pollinate your tree, and therefore you won't get fruit."
Well, I guess that's one horrible approach!

AWFUL!!! That salesperson ought to be working for major industry!!! To heck with the environment!!!
I hope the woman didn't take her advice...
Once overheard in the Butcher shop....
"We don't weigh their brains, we just take their money"
Common sense isn't all that common....

I think you should report that salesperson to the management. She is an endangerment!!!
AlohaHoya, I agree completely. I visit this garden center regularly, so I will have a chat with a manager about this salesperson's advice.
ecrane, I didn't hang around long enough to find out, but I share your sentiment.
John, your quote gave me a good chuckle. Hope all is well in the Cayman Islands.
