A cool surprise!

Hello All.

A kind Dave's Garden member shared this plant with me last spring. I didn't expect it to make it through the winter, but it did! Very cool, in my opinion.

Is a type of Amorphophallus? I would appreciate any assitance identifying it.

Could also be Arisaema, same family but less tropical. This one looks a little more like some sort of Arisaema to me, but my experience with both of these genera is somewhat limited so it could be an Amorphophallus that looks different than the ones I've seen.

one with leaves looks like jack in pulpit does it not.??

The bloom looks like arisaema, but the leaf is definately amorphophallus.... looks like 2 different bulbs in the same pot..... am I the "kind of Dave's member"? I don't get the opportunity to visit and share like used to. Seems like I sent some bulbs out last year....

Thank you all for your kind and helpful comments.

AuntB, the kind Dave's Garden member was actually Susan in Minneapolis. I visited her one day and she sent me home with all kinds of cool stuff! I'm thinking that you are right about the different bulbs in the same pot.

Erick,

I believe that the bloom and the foliage are both Amorphophallus. You can see that both the stems are similarly marked. I generally don't get the foliage this early, but get just the stinky flowers that I have to put on my porch before they stink up the house.
