Dumb question...or is it?

East Texas, United States(Zone 8a)

My rain lilies are not blooming after the rains (and Gosh, have we HAD rain!). I thought that was when they were supposed to bloom. The greens look healthy, planted in average soil, full TX sun. What's going on? thanks for your help

Raleigh, NC(Zone 7b)

It depends on what kind they are. There are many different species of zephyranthes and some bloom in spring, some in summer, and some towards autumn. For instance Z. drummondii blooms in the spring while Z. candida blooms in late summer.

thanks, I didn't know that. I just thought they bloomed after rains, spring thru fall. Appreciate the info.

west Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Different species bloom from March-November for me. Rain lilies are definitely me. =)

I have 4 species flowering now.
