Good evening kids! Hope this Friday night, or Saturday sometime, depending on your space on the planet earth, finds you well.
The afternoon skies have filled with clouds and certain spots on the island have experienced showers!! What a treat to see the rain again....I watched the rain, albeit brief at the shop today only to come home tonight and see that the shower never made it to this side of the island...bummer.....for the record, May is the start of the rainy season, Our monthly average rainfall for May is 6". Last year May, only 2" fell. Looking back to May 2002 16" fell. I am ready for rain here in my part of Cayman. Even the weeds are crying out for water. Thank goodness I have a deep well and can water my newbies every other day....cistern is still fairly full as it is large enough....I hope to see showers soon.....for those who have rain, rejoice in it.....my bamboo is no longer a hiding place for Iguanas!!!
Raindrops!
I am happy to hear part of your island received rain. I so wish we would get more rain here in the desert. I look forward to July when our monsoon season starts. Last year we had a little more rain than usual although it was still pretty dry.
