Question
Do you at all time keep water in bottom of tray with the yarn always wet I am trying with my new Leaves it won't get to wet. I just took a picture so you can see if this is right. If it is than I will paint the rings

I miss understood the wicking I went out and hand cut rings to be put under each plant Now that I read this 5 times I get it. the rings are to hold up the basket not the plant and it has water in it at all times. This is great I got a 10 foot PVC pipe and hand cut rings But the rings do fit under eacd plant as the picture shows above Thanks for all the help

OK, here is my silly question regarding wicking: If violets are not supposed to sit in water, how does the wicking do them any good? Would they not be too wet all the time?
