Ha! They missed one!

Some wild animal mowed down all my tulips and I was so upset. But nana na na na na. They missed this one. I felt so gitty when I saw this. I think I enjoyed this flower more than any other in my yard. Oh, I'm so childish :)

I hope it is still there this morning! I go round the garden every day to see what went missing the night before. It is as if the critters know which are the expensive/rare/beautiful plants and go for them first. The plain old red tulips that were planted by the previous owners of my garden go untouched, while the fancy new stuff I put in gets munched. When something lovely actually survives, yeah, it is cause for celebration.
