Really, there aren't wyandottes near you? they are all around here. and NOISY, oh lordy they are the gossipyesy biddies I have ever met!

I have a whole collection, myself of all breeds.

I just got 10 silkie chicks ~ partridge, grey, black, white and buff.
i also got 2 easter egg layer chicks and a cuckoo maran chick

Here's the SLW bantam. I got her from a chicken breeder that does shows etc, and I thought, how different can a show chicken really be from the murraymcmurray garden variety? I hope you can see in this picture that I was really surprised. She is just gorgeous. Not too friendly, though.

My favorites right now are the frizzle, ( Yuliana) the Barred rock ( Pandora) and the Buff Orpington (Butterball) because they are the friendliest. Everyone else is great, too, but not as friendly.

I had a mass die off a year ago, and a big problem with the local feed store, so I ended up buying the bantams, was given the silkies and bought the frizzle all as pullets or hens. also, one of the SLWs came to me as an adult, so they aren't as tame as the ones I raised from chicks. I'm working hard to tame this new crop of chicks.
