Something, apparently of sustantial size is munching on the leaves of my oak leaf hydrangeas, but I can't find him/them! I've been out "hunting" at different times - early morning, evening, after dark with a flashlight, and cannot see anything that could be decimating the leaves - just a few leaves so far, but just pieces left! Any clues would be helpful - I'm just starting to garden on purpose for cats/butterflies, and can't find any info about what the O.L. hydrangeas might be a host plant for. Thanks bunches!
What could be eating my Oak Leaf Hydrangeas?
Might be a wooly bear. Those dratted caterpillars seem to eat anything and everything. I've had them on my astilbe, porterweed and hydrangeas too.
