Ok...after my parents trips around the state looking for a place to move to, my mom is now on a mission to find a magnolia tree. She absolutely loves the big flowers. I'd like to get her one as a mother's day present. Does anyone know a place that sells these? I'm not used to shopping for trees.
Thanks, Kim
source for magnolia tree?
Just about anywhere! Most nurseries that carry trees should carry magnolias. If you can't find any in your area I can give you links to a bunch of nurseries in the Houston area that carry them for sure.
I have been looking for a 'Bracken's Brown Beauty.' It is so named for the color of the underside of the leaves. It matures more quickly and is quite hardy. Get one of those for your mom if you can (and then tell me where you found it!)

Great! Thanks everyone for the info. I will let you know what I find!
