Very Nice Kim! What are the names on your AV leaves? I sure hope the person I sent to isn't disappointed. Most of mine are not ID'd so she didn't get any real fancy ones.

Love those little Plant Markers you have! Where did you find them?

( Kim) Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

Plant Markets I found at Home depot and cut to fit the small pots some of them were named some were not the one she sent was call Decelles Flamingo I realy like Flamingo's I have no idea why I like Flamingo maybe because they are so pretty I have lites, a cup ,a few drink stir's and a cover now I can add a plant.
Most of my plants were ones my grandmother and aunt gave to me and than I didn't know the names just the colors and sent a flower with the ones that had bloomed

St Joseph, IL(Zone 5b)

OK,
Woo Hoo!!! I got my package today from Lin...thank you so much Lin. I love the leaves and plantlets and little plant AND just about cried when I opened the garden plaque. How pretty! I will have to hide that from my twin sister. Ha. I love your little plantlets you sent...how cute and pretty. I just sent leaves this time to my person, but may try to send some plantlets next time too! I love NOIDS. A couple of my prettiest are NOIDS. You are so sweet. I appreciate ALL of my package very much. I love the Optimaras 'Isabelle' and 'Annabelle'...very pretty plants. Can't wait to see the blooms on my "surprise" unknowns. I love surprises.

Speaking of surprises AND God...you know how little things get thrown at you some times, I think just to see how you are going to handle them, especially after a busy day and not much sleep. Well, I was in my basement last night and had just picked up a try of some sort of expensive leaves that I had put down and had all labeled (I do my leaves in small trays) when one of my little ones had just handed me the phone and left the room and in trying to juggle all of that the tray flipped over. Potting mixture, leaves and markers went all over! After a couple of words I can't say here or Terry will get me (Ha), I just laughed, picked them all up and the markers. I washed off the leaves, dried them, replanted them and put one marker in the tray to know who they came from and I still have the markers, SO I get to have lots of surprises when the little plantlets from them finally bloom. I could probably almost ID them all back with the leaves but will complete that with a bloom. Ha! Just a funny thing for me to deal with! Couldn't throw them away, thankfully they all didn't get injured. Anyway...I would've liked to seen the look on my face when the tray flipped...goodness.

Lin, when I get a chance to take pics I will and thank you again.

Love, Laura

She included a whole page of information about the AVs. Also included were an entire package of solo cups and an absolutely beautiful AV pot.

The packing was great, Melissa. You did a superb job.

Thank you so very much for all your efforts. I couldn't be happier.

I received my package yesterday, but we had big storms/electric outages so wasn't able to post then, but I just LOVE what I got. Thank you so much, Stephanie (dragonsgold). She sent some 2 1/2" pots with wicks, AV food, and ... witch doctor, kermit, splatter kate, steel blue, evergrace, frozen in time, pewter bells and little rick leaves!! I am so excited because I didn't have any of these :-) Most of the leaf packages had three leaves, too. I've had so much fun looking up pictures of all of these, and can't wait for them to grow up.

Hi everyone,
My package arrived today and all the plants are wonderful. That right plants! I actually got five nice little streps from gloriag. This is new for me as I don't have any streps and I was debating whether I should get any. Now the decisions been made for me and I don't have to take any responsibility for my new addiction, lol.
The plants are Pat's pet shasta, Cherry pie, Joker, Bristols blue water, and Fallen stars.
I also got a cute little garden book which will come in handy to keep track of all of my new plants!

Thanks Gloria, I love em!

While I have your attention...

Can you identify this lovely thing? I got it in a trade as an extra, but it didn't have a name (I suppose I SHOULD know what it is!).

The reason I'm asking here and now....is that I sent one to my buddy, but was unable to name it for her!

K

oooo,...grainy rotten photo....is this any better???

Thumbnail by Kachinagirl
Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Janice, I was beginning to worry. I thought you's get it yesterday.

Rebel's Splatter Kake is a leaf baby. Ma's Melody Girl was a sucker on what ever date is on the little cup. I didn't pull it out to see how many roots there was. It was snug so I figured it had rooted.

Hope I didn't send duplicates!!!

Debbie

(Zone 1)

Kachinagirl: Looks like Alsobia Cygnet! I have two I aquired in trades but neither has bloomed yet!

Modesto, CA(Zone 8b)

Yep, I think Alsobia Cygnet is right, thanks! Boy, am I rotten at keeping a surprise or what....sheesh!

K

I keep mine in a very bright window indoors (southern window with a thin white fabric shade). It has bloomed quite a lot lately and has begun producing the long strawberry-like runners. I think I will repot it with better soil, it's looking a taddy depleted to me.

She's a sweetie. : )

Question for you,

Where do you keep all the AV's? and with the amount that you have, how do you make sure they get adequate light?
Mine are multiplying and I am starting to get concerned.
I know they say 65-80 and florescent light is fine, but is it really?
I don't have airconditioning in my house and it can get up to 90 at times and down to 62 in the winter. Is this too harsh for them? Cause if I bring them home (they are all in my office!) I will have plenty of room.
