Mini Angel's Trumpet 'Lago Azul' (Acnistus australis)

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

Beautiful flower and photo! Another "gotta have" plant for me! :-)

I got it from Cistus if you're interested...that's the only place I've ever seen this particular cultivar. In addition to the gorgeous color, it's more cold tolerant than most other Acnistus/Iochroma that I've grown--I have a bunch of them outside in little pots and they got hit pretty hard by our cold snap in Jan, this one came through like a champ and is blooming already but the others either still look like dead sticks or are just barely starting to show a few leaves.

Thanks for the info! Never knew of Cistus... checking out their website and, well, there goes another paycheck! LOL! :-)

ecrane, that is gorgeous, does look like a mini brug. Question: I had a blue iochroma that I planted inground last fall. It's a stick. will it come back? I fear not but will hang by any word you have to say to the contrary, lol.
