My epiphyllum bloomed 2 nights ago and it was a sight for sore eyes. I had another one that I accidently froze this past winter. It had smaller hot pink blooms. After many years I've come to really love these plants more and more.
Epi Bloom
Ahh, fancy! How's the house hunting?? Love the photo-georgeous! I've never tried these. Maybe I shall.
Hey tgg, No house hunting till end of year now. Can't wait to get out of my rental especially since I can't do any gardening and I'm afraid to get too many house plants. Just in limbo for awhile......
I remember being in an apartment. It was so hard not to dig around, so we kinda did it anyway. I still have a clematis and some other stuff that came from the old place. My husband had an old pickup truck that he literally filled up with my plants. It was actually pretty comical...in retrospect. Not so much then.
ardesia-Just beautiful, indeed!
I agree, Really beautiful indeed. I find they need to be pot bound and kept cool to bloom.
Oh dear, pot bound I can arrange but cool? Not around here I am afraid.
Just cool in the very early spring, Feb, March ,April. I find they need the coolness to set the buds. After blooming I slowly get them aclimated to the outdoors...... shade, then part shade but never all day sun in the summer.
Good to know. I have had a red one for a while now and some years it blooms well and others it doesn't. I guess I still haven't found the perfect place for it.
Those are beautiful! A friend of mine just had Bumpkin bloom. I have the regular oxypetalatum and it bloomed twice last year and I missed it both times! Most of mine are still babies, but I'm hoping Creme deMenthe and Yesterday's Memories will bloom this year.
Bumpkin...

That one should be called gorgeous.
????? Is this Night blooming Cyrus?
I have a plant with that type leaves and have had it for 5 years and it has not bloomed.
Did you say it comes in different colors?
Lavina
