I have no idea how old they are. I bought them at a local auction on Tuesday, May 1 and they already had their little wing feathers coming in. I'm guessing they would be about 2 weeks old by now? I don't suppose the 'chipmunk' striping will show like that when they're grown up?

There are so many breeds that look like that when they are small! I love it! Im still trying to guess what mine are!!! Im settling on Red leghorns , so far they look like the pictures! I really dont care Who they are just what they are, and thats Brown egg layers, Yaaaaay, and Yum!

Your babies have a definite 'V' on their foreheads . I would guess they are Welsumers or dark egg layers. I just hatched 11 of them. Enjoy your babies.

You know mommagoose, I checked on that and Leghorns lay white eggs!!! Sooooo my teenage chickies are more than likely Welsummers!!! Thanks!!!!!!
