Hello, I was searching for this plant on the internet. I recently bought a 2 gallon scotch broom (In the same color but not sure if it is Lena or Firefly) and once I got home and planted it, I decided to look it up online to see the care of the plant. I was astonished to read all of the negative about this plant. Is this a new variety or is this also the noxious weed type that is very invasive that I have been reading about. I am wondering if I should go yank it our of my garden right away?? Please help with any info. Thanks, Patti

hollandia broom gets such a bad rap. we have the invasive reg. scotch broom growing everywhere here but i have a burkwoodii that is gorgeous. i havent had any problems with it producing any babies. i took what few pods there were on it last year and that was that. it jsut takes a bit of precaution i think to collect the pods in the fall. or let them go and when the babies are a few inches tall dig them out and pot them up for sale. who knows!

Hi:
I'm having troubles locating cytisus, Lena. I had 2 at my old house and had no idea how difficult it would be to order from a nursery in Oregon.
Any ideas out there?
Willy
