Easiest chicken tractor!

Fowlerville, MI(Zone 5b)

Maybe this has already been posted sometime in the past, but I just found this website that has, what I think is, the easiest chicken tractor to build. You can make it big enough that you can stand up in it - a "hoop house", or as small as you like, for just a few chickens, so it's easy to move around. You can check it out at: http://www.plamondon.com/hoop-coop.html

Hope this is helpful! ~:>

PS: When checking out the link above, make sure you a least scroll down and look at both pictures so that you can see how easy it is to make. :)

Hmmm , now thats a pretty good idea!
Heres apicture of my tractor! Its set up for temperary use right now! Im trying to figure our how to build permanent removable panels for the top! I think that screen door frames set with Carpenter cloth, will work! I just have to get DH to figure how to attach.
There are two tiny wheels at one end and because it is made with an aluminum frame it is very light and it only takes one person to move!
I will be putting a covered roosting area at the wheel end!

SWEET!! You'll be all set once you've got it the way you want it! The aluminum frame is a great idea - doesn't need a lot of bracing. Make sure you post a picture when you're all done. :)

That's a great tractor, Eufaula.

Thanks for the link, Glenda. I might have to rig one of these up when my new batch of chicks gets here...

Thanks All! I havent had much time to work on the tractor this week! Soooo everything is secured with Chicken wire and heavy duty Bird mesh! So far it has worked just fine! But Im looking now for the used door frames or aluminum screen frames! We have a Mobile home scrap yard and replacement parts store close by so Im going to check it out!
