This is my first year feeding the hummingbirds, so I didn't expect many exciting experiences. Boy, was I wrong!
I noticed yesterday that the feeder needed to be refilled, so I took it down, cleaned it and refilled it. As I opened the door, the hummingbird was there chattering at me, fussing about the feeder being gone, I guess. As I moved to hang it, the hummer hovered right beside the feeder. I decided to grab the camera and get brave. I held it out in front of me and the hummer drank while I was holding it! I was so excited! Here are some pictures.
