Tulips with ornamental foliage

Rosemont, ON(Zone 4a)

Tulip greggii 'Fire of Love' has the most incredible leaf markings. The center of the leaf is striped purple and green, while the edges are striped bright red and pale yellow. It's one of those plants that live up to the catalog hype. I would love to show you a picture, but the rabbits ate all the foliage last night...sob.

June, Your 'sob' had me searching for 'Fire of Love' on the web. For some reason I couldn't find a picture (couldn't connect to Brent and becky's for some reason) ... then I found a link to dave's garden ... and here is a picture.

I'm not sure how to link to a post, so if this doesnt work , you can go to:

about 50 posts down on april 3rd. Lots of great tulip pics here to gaze at. :o)

Wow, I may just have to put this one on my list even though I do have a few hungry rabbits around.

Edited to say: I see the post link did not work, so if anyone can tell me how to link to a certain post, I would appreciate it. :o)

Put the cursor on the post number and right click. Then select and click 'copy shortcut' and paste it in your post. I think.

Yup, that's exactly what it looked like "before". The "after" picture is too depressing to post.
