To the birdwatchers

COLUMBIA, TN(Zone 6b)

Just a note to tell you how much I enjoy the posts and pictures. I can't send pictures, due to a stroke I had but I have quite a variety of birds and my newest visitor is an indigo bunting. He is so pretty and I hope he returns. Beth

Oh Beth I'm so glad your enjoying this forum! I hope your IB returns too, they are so beautiful!

Pelletory---------Sure do hope he returns. He stayed quite a while seemingly enjoying the sunflower seeds. I looked at the feeder the other day and there sat a rose crested grosbeck-----I watched that bird all day and got nothing done. He was absolutely beautiful. Stayed for about 3 days and moved on.

How nice of you to say so Beth.....I'm also glad you are enjoying our efforts. I am grateful to be healthy enough to spend time outside taking pictures. My father had a stroke after moving to Florida, and spent his last twenty years in a wheelchair. He was an excellent photographer, and I know whatever skill I have came from him and his love of photography. He would have throughly enjoyed the digital age. Here is my favorite pic of an Indigo I got recently.

They are such beautiful birds. We've had a lazuli bunting here a few times, but I'd love to see the indigo. Wonderful picture!

Glad you enjoy the photos, Beth.

We don't see the buntings here, but here's a peaceful image for you. I had to stop at a RR crossing yesterday, and this is what I saw when I looked to the left. I was in awe that I'd stumbled on such a scene, and with perfect lighting!

Beautiful image, Tigerlily! Love the mirrorlike look to the water.

Would love to have a hammock nearby and watch them all day. Beth

Beth, so glad you are enjoying the photos - and even more glad that you can enjoy the visitors to your own yard, even if you can't photograph them!
