new growth itch

Hi Everyone : ) (Hi Mom!)

I'm a fellow Michigander - just north of Kalamazoo. I wonder if there are any good sources which will tell you when you can expect new growth from a plant in the spring. I planted a few sweet dreams coreopsis last fall that were beautiful - but no new growth yet. My other coreopsis (tequila sunrise) has lots of growth happening. Has anyone else seen growth with their Sweet Dreams this Spring?
