What type of begonia would do well in full sun? Do they need fertilzer for blooms? ZONE 8B.
Begonia
Dragon Wings might be your best bet. Fertilizer should be either slow release or half strength water soluble once a week (or whenever you get around to it). If you plant them in the ground (most canes) they should be able to handle most sunny conditions but it's best to avoid hot afternoon sun (4 to 7 PM). Even some rhizomatous handle sunny conditions well if not allowed to dry out.
I used to grow 'Richmondensis' in the sun in Houston.....I guess it is an angelwing.....they are usually easy to find in the nurseries..
