lemon grass seeds

Auburn, AL(Zone 8a)

Does anyone have any lemon grass seeds for trade? I don't have any great herb seeds but I do have tomato and a few veggie seeds that are rather nice.

Thanks,

Saint

Do you have any ethnic grocery stores in your area? If so, sometimes they carry lemon grass and part of the root is usually included. I've had great luck simply placing the root in water and watching it grow, then planting it. Just be sure you change the water out frequently to keep it clean. This is truly the easiest way to grow lemon grass. It makes for a lovely, large plant right from the start.

thanks, the stalks we generally have in our grocery store don't look great do you think it will still work?

If they're still connected at the bottom, even it there are no roots, it might work. It's worth a try.
