Another ID...

Emory, TX(Zone 8a)

What might this one be? It is not open all of the way yet, but I think it is Frosty Pink. I know I received several Frosty Pink cuttings and it looks like it to me.

and is this another Isabella? This one is from the bud that I mentioned on another thread that was apparently damaged by an insectcide I used or was damaged by mites??? You can see a little damage on part of the edge of the flower

Is there anyone who can help ID these?

Crumpler, WV

Yardqueen,

There has been much discussion about this subject of trying to id a brug from just a photo of the blooms.

There are so many cultivars that look so much alike and with many people hybridizing or growing open pollenated seeds, that it impossible to id a brug from just a photo. The only way to id from a photo is; if the brug has some very different attributes to it that would make it clearly evident as to what cultivar the brug is.

If you are just going to grow them to enjoy their beauty, then I would suggest that you just use the color of the bloom to tell them apart. If you trade or share these brugs, just say they are unknown pink, yellow, etc.

The only time that names become VERY important is when you are hybridizing.

Hope this helps you.
