How do you move a Brug?

Madison, MS

I'm helping my neighbor clear out her yard and we need to move these, which I think we have identified as Brugs/Angel Trumpets. They are not getting enough light and they are also in a real grown up spot. I need to move these - How do I do that without killing them? Thanks so much!!

It's your back you have to worry about.. Not the plant! LOL
Those kinda look like Datura in the pic... I killed mine when I dug it up and tried to move it. I dug equivalent to a 5 gal pot and I believe it's the Tap Root I destroyed while digging. Maby someone can give some real advice.. I don't know much about them.

I thought it looked kinda like poke because of the reddish color on the stems to the leaves....

I agree with indiana_lily. It's pokeweed, a prolific weed. Seeds like crazy.

Yep, you're right - that's what it looks like - and there are a lot of babies around. This will get the round up also then!!! Thanks!!

You definitely want to get rid of these. I had some come up a few years ago, thought they looked very "tropical", they got huge and now are nearly impossible to get rid of. You don't want them!
