HI
I'm new to DG and gardening. My first home - previous owner was a gardening grandma - but her children removed a lot of plants to "clean up the yard" as the house sat empty for two years. Still lots of stuff to learn about and lots of empty spaces to fill.
have a question about tulips - mine don't bloom - I think they are broken :-) all I have are the leaves - can that be fixed? It would appear that there used to be a lot of them in the past but only a few remain. Do squrriels eat them? I do have two squirrels that hang out in the yard and they are pretty fat for so soon after the winter.

Hi ! , I used to live in Dearborn - one block from the park at the corner of Ford & Greenfield, many years ago. I often wonder how the area has changed through the years.
Welcome to DG, I can not help w/the tulip situation much as I concentrate on vegetables but someone here will surely have an answer for you.
Hi, I'm new to DG too. Looks like a great site. I've passed through on some Google searches over the years, but just recently started exploring deeper and love what I found! I look forward to getting to know you and your garden.
On the tulips, I haven't grown them, but I've done a few bulbs. They probably need some bone meal and other soil amendments. Yes, I bet the squirrels have taken some. They're always digging up my container plants looking for pecans. I think bulbs are even more sought-after.
