So, I have this Hibiscus.....

Sugar Land, TX(Zone 9a)

That is blooming crazy!

I bought it because I thought it was a peach double bloomer. Get it home, some blooms are single with a very pale peach color, some blooms are double with a very vibrant peach color and today.....I get a single bloomer in red! Go figure. I think it's a hybrid problem but I'm not sure what to do. It's pretty, I'm not complaining but, I wanted a double blooming peach hibiscus. Any suggestions?

Very strange!

They probably put a few different cuttings together in the same pot. You could take a cutting from the double peach one and have a plant all in the color you like.
I think that would work.

What you do, Knolan, is put up a picture out front
and charge admission, you lucky girl.

I agree, I would take cuttings. Meanwhile, I would sit back and enjoy it. That is one gorgeous Hibiscus. Looks like you got more for your money there! pod

Hahahaha! I'll definitely enjoy it, that's for certain.

Josephine, you're right. It's one of those braided hibiscus. I bet it was three different plants. I didn't even think of that.

Thanks Pod!

Is this one of the ones from Lowe's? I got one and my tag showed diff. colors. This woman told me she had bought one like that--I guess the grower just grafted diff. color blooms.

Ironically, mine, which is supposed to be diff. color blooms, turned out to be a dbl red. Oh well.

and about the double peach, I have Orange Key, a pastel double orange that I'm trying to root, I can give you one at some point.

K, since it's such a disappointment to you...I'll take it off your hands....heehee

OK...I'm chaining it down now. LOL.

Yes, it's the one from Lowe's. I'd love a double peach if you start cuttings. Just love those.
