What is this?

Amelia Island, FL(Zone 9a)

I was told possibly a Hoya or lipstick plant, but I'm not sure. Thinking some type of Gesneriad (only because the flowers are a similar shape).
Any ideas?

I think it is Aeschynanthus Radicans / Lipstick Rasta I love how the foliage curls on them.Reminds me of a curly hoya.Beautiful plant you have there!!

I got it at WalMart last summer for $2 - it was the last one and couldn't leave it! I absolutely love it.
I looked at a picture of the Aeschynanthus Radicans - it's close, but not quite it. The flowers are different and the leaves aren't as curly.
Here is the whole plant.

WOW! You only paid 2 bucks for that? What a deal.I think it is absolutely gorgeous! I hope someone will be able to tell you exactly what it is.Whatever it is..I want! LOL

It is gorgeous...and I love the blooms. The only thing I CAN say for sure is that it isn't a hoya. Sorry, that's all I have to offer :(

Maybe its Aeschynanthus Radicans ‘Crispa’. The leaves curl like it.Checkout logees website and see if that might be it?

If you haven't figured it out yet check out www.exoticangel.com under lipstick plant. I think I saw it there. I need to find one of those.

Ooooh Sandi - You are on the money!! It's Aeschynanthus Radicans ‘Rasta’. Thank you! I'll post another picture when it fully blooms. Also, I've found out how to get cuttings. I'mm going to take some today, so if any of you would like some d-mail me. I just don't know how long it will take for the stems to root.
