Hang in there now. April is almost over and we can really get down to business about getting our yards in shape. We too have had the high wind, hard rain and some hail. Last night the worst we got was the lightning part of it. It thundered so strongly that the windows rattled. The wind was suppose to be 75mph plus but it didn't get that high. We still have shingles and blooms on the roses and poppies. I did take all of the hanging baskets down. They would make good projectiles had the wind gotten very high.

I'll cry with you sticks; ever since that cold front hit on Easter weekend; I've been wondering what in the world is going on with the weather. I too have had strong winds blowing and I've been keeping my coleus on the patio secluded but I'm wanting to plant them soon.

Strange weather here also. I've never seen it this windy before. Today its hot...tomorrow, I can't even guess.

La Grange, TX(Zone 8b)

We have high wind damage: from branches down to large oak and pecan trees. We were in a tornado warning area last night. Nothing was going to get me to bed until that was over. At 2:30 AM this morning, I heard a definite roar outside followed by lots of lightning and thunder. That was scary.

Sugar Land, TX(Zone 9a)

We got it bad here too......wind damage (knocked my blue jay's nest outta the tree into my bird bath) and 3" of rain.

DFW area, TX(Zone 7b)

I just got done having my flower beds prepped and
they're a muddy mess. The neighbor's cottonwood is
sending bazillions of seeds into my nice clean beds,
where I'm sure they will sprout all over the place, and I have
to get a new roof, thanks to last week's baseball sized hail.

I hate spring.
