Cut back Italian Parsley???

Lima, OH(Zone 5b)

My Italian --flat leaf-- Parsley was beat down by a rain storm and many stems are laying on the ground. They are not real thick plants yet, but have a few new leaves/stems coming up from the center with 5 to 10 tall stems (most cannot seem to stand back up). Would it be OK to cut off some of the tall drooping stems; would this help them grow thicker?

It's usually ok to 'harvest' some of your herbs and leave some to contiune growing. Just don't cut so much that the plant is stressed.

Mine froze to the ground recently after it was showing good spring growth. I took off all the mush and it's starting to grow back.
