In case some of you don't know Delisa she is the undisputed 2000 Double Pink Brug Queen. "Leona" is the working name for one of Delisa's crosses that I had the good fortune to grow out. The first time she had only one bloom that was beautiful. She has now put out her first mini flush and she is still B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L!!
Upon my return from the swap in Florala I opened my gate and was greeted with these beauties....
"Leona" has her first flush
Very Beautiful Gary, you must have been jumping for joy when you came home to see how well she has done
Very Pretty Gary,
Her timing was just perfect!! LOL
I would have been jumping and up and down in joy!!
It's amazing what these beauties can do for the soul!! LOL
Connie
Delisa is a GREAT person, she is coming up with so many beauties, you are so lucky to know her!!!.
Wow! And wow again! A double like that is on my dream list for someday. Congratulations to both of you!
Erick
HOLY MOLY! That's absotively fantabulistic!!!!
And what was that cross again? She is verry pretty Gary and I love the name.
Truely beautiful Gary!!
Ken, Its Rubirosa x Peanut.
She is gorgeous Gary !!
Wow, are you lucky! She is gorgeous. I pray that someday I'll have a double pink blooming in my yard. A very generous lady here on DG gave me a DayDreams about 1 1/2 yrs. ago, but she has never bloomed for me. Hopefully, I haven't lost her, as I've lost so many nametags from my brugs. Sweet Delisa also sent me cuttings from 3 of her original pink doubles, but they all died shortly after receiving them. Guess I just don't have the double pink touch.
I am still waiting to get a double PINK, they are so beautifull
Oh Wow Gary! I followed your post on her first bloom that was so exciting.. This is amazing!!! I am thrilled with you! LOL She is so beautiful. Are you pollinating? What is her scent like?
Gary what does the 2000 stand for in Delisa's title of 2000 Double Pink Brug Queen? I hope I am not being dense. LOL
I think she is gorgeous especially with those long, long tendrils. She looks like she is dancing. It is interesting too to see how her calyx is both long and also short and even in between! I can't wait to see her as she matures. Are you bringing your Mom a piece when you go this summer? I bet she is thrilled you named it after her.
It was supposed to be 2007 double pink brug queen....typo!
Beautiful. I'm waiting for my first blooms.
I had the pleasure of seeing Leona in person, pictures just don't do he justice.
Yep, Brenda came back from Florala with me and flew out of Lauderdale. We both just stood there in shock because we were not expecting her to have bloomed while we were at the swap.
Wowweee!! Nice to log on after a long absence and see such beauty! Congrats to Delisa and Gary! The pink doubles are the most beautiful brugs in my humble opinion.
I thought I lost most of my brugs this winter as they just looked like dead sticks, but slowly some of them are peeking out. These plants have a strong will to survive!
Happy Spring!

Very beautiful Gary......LOL Delisa, you can use me to trial your brugs any ole' time. Dollie
Dollie this brug is not on trial yet. I won't send her out to trial until next year. This is just a seedling still. I planted the seed in Nov 2005. I won't be doing any cutting on her for quite some time. Then I will send her to trial with some friends of mine in different parts of the country. Just to try her out in a few zones. After that she will be released. I hope.
Wow, look at those tendrils. Beautiful!!!
Wow, that last photo is incredible - such a pretty girl!
I love her!!
Bonnie
What a beauty!
Gary, I didn't notice your post to me, until today. LOL I was too busy looking at the photo of Leona :), when I made my comment about your photo. I'm looking forward to the day she's on the market for sale. PLEASE put my name on the list to purchase......LOL! I know it will be a waiting list to purchase this little cutie.
