I'm new to Dave's Garden and need your help badly! As you can see, the front of my ranch-style house is empty. It sits on 4 very empty acres...except for lots of wild blackberries! sigh! Anyway, I'm in total overwhelm with all of this. :( I love any kind of fragrant shrubs, hollies with those red berries, and I think I might need a tree or two at least initially. I like a more formal-Zen look. There is a Japanese magnolia a few feet off to the left side of the birdbath and a purple snowball bush to the right of the front porch...not very Zen, but there was one in my yard growing up. :) All suggestions welcome. My brain is fried!
