What is the best way to prepare the leaves for shipment?????? I am thinking you would wrap the bottom of the stem with a wet paper towel and then wrap that in foil...If this is not right please inform me how...Thanks

Bluepoppy, everyone does a little different, I think. I cut the stem long enough that when someone gets it, they can cut a little more off. Then, I just seal it in a little package (with a seal-a-meal). Most folks use zip lock bags. Some people wet a little paper towel and wrap it around the stem. Some don't. If you want to trade, remember to dmail me your address.
Can someone else add to this? Pam
I just received leaves from someone last week, they were just in zip lok bags with the name of the plant marked on the bag with a magic marker. They were not wrapped in moist p. towels or anything and survived just fine! Same think a few weeks ago when someone sent me leaves ... and they were perfect. They were in a box with bubble wrap all around top andbottom to keep them from getting jostled. They traveled well.
Here's a link to Rachel's and she has some great info on mailing AV leaves. Someone gave me this link a few months ago and I need to re read it for some tips before I ship mine out next Monday!
