I know nothing about Broms so I have no idea where to begin looking. I was given this some years ago but never had the name. I have to admit, I'm not really into broms but this one always had cute blooms or whatever your call brom flowers. LOL It's not a tall brom. only about 6-8 in tall.

Thanks Dave.
If I want to divide it can I do it now or wait till it stops blooming?

Springfield, MO(Zone 6a)

Logic would suggest to wait, but it probably doesn't matter. It looks pretty good in a multi-blooming clump.

Yep but it's about to break the pot. I could put the whole clump in a bigger pot also.

It's been my experience that here in FL, it's near impossible to kill a bromeliad. That ID is correct. I also grow them (in ground) and have divided them in flower w/ no problems. They are the fastest clumping broms I grow.
