Irrigation system for newly planted seedlings

Roscoe, IL

I just planted 62 thuja green seedlings which are between 6 and 12 inches tall. My current irrigation system consists of 3 soaker hose runs: 2 of 100' and 1 of about 50'. The trees are set back of our house about 200'. I normally run a typical garden hose from the spigot to the closest soaker tube run, y the garden hose, run 100' down to the next soaker run, y that hose and then run 100' to the final soaker run.

We are in zone 5 and have very sandy soil which doesn't hold onto water very long so we need to water a few times a week. I don't like to leave all that garden hose out there so every time we need to water it is quite a project dragging out all the hose. We are looking for something more automated. So my questions here are:

1) Is burying the garden hose an option?
2) Would installing a drip irrigation system eliminate the need to run all the separate runs? I would need about 250' of drip irrigation for trees spaced 4 feet apart - and then 200' of supply tubing just to get to the first tree.

My ideal system besides a professionally installed sprinkler type irrigation system would be burying the supply line to the trees and then installing a timer to automate things.

Any advice is definitely appreciated!
