Hi everyone! I was at the Selby Gardens in Sarasota, FL yesterday and saw this guy hanging out. Other people were taking photos so I figured I would too. This bird was only about 20 feet away from me; he must be used to people walking around the gardens. Thanks in advance!

Yellow-crowned Night Heron. Note the half-closed eyes. They really are most active at night..resting-sleeping most of the day.
Thanks! I looked at some bird websites and saw a picture of the Yellow-crowned Night Heron. I thought it looked similar, but you know how many things in nature look alike. Thanks again for the confirmation!
