Who's this lil fellar

Found these while cleaning one of my flowerbeds. Closest I find in my book is American Lady but still not an exact match.

What plant was this cat eating Peggy?

I don't know. I was pulling virginia creeper vines out of the flowerbed and off a pine tree when I saw him/her strolling across this piece of petrified wood. Didn't noticed it's mini me until I went to take the picture.

P, that looks like an Eight-Spotted Forester cat, is that a grape vine it's on? That's one of its host plants.

Whatever they are ...... they sure are cuties! Love the stripes and the colors! Not something that I have ever seen in my area.

I think Rox is correct. A very attractive moth as an adult. This link shows some photos of the cat and moth. Awesome!!!

I believe we have a winner. I did a little more research on this cat and found that not only do they feed on grape(wild grape is growing in my yard)virginia creeper and boston ivy.

Thanks for the help.
