This is not the 'Golden Palms' cultivar which has chartreuse yellow leaves and pinkish blooms.

you are correct, it seems to be Petasites frigidus var. palmatus http://plants.usda.gov/java/county?state_name=California&statefips=06&symbol=PEFRP
even tho the leaves do get more golden yellow in the sun
at the time (April 07) the only the images on http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/go/80952/ did not look like mine :-(
i will ask for the images to be moved

I was going through the Forest Farm listing and Googling interesting looking plants like this one. I love anything golden on foliage and especially anything like this with large leaves. I am considering ordering one but keeping it contained.

Well, I got a nice gift certificate coming, thanks to DG and their sponsor Dynamite. I can select from any of the top 30 GW and so far, I think Forest Farm will be my pick.
