So ............ dixie ....... I guess that means that Florida already has them or they are migrating north?

Someday ...... (sigh) Enjoy your little visitors! :-)

COLUMBIA, TN(Zone 6b)

I have no idea what they're feeding on. I have a few red flowers but they ignore them. I have a male and female and they do come to the feeder often. i worry about them. Beth

Dixie,, they are probably eating insects also.. they love little spiders.. good excuse not to have house pressure washed...LOL

Ha, ha. Funny about the pressure washing. Hadn't thought of that but you're probably right on!

I am always thinking about having the red flowers and don't think that I have to dirty things up a bit for some good bugs on the HB buffet!

becky, I don't get why you don't have HBs?! It seems like your yard would be a natural for them... Did you try putting the red ribbons on the feeders? I read somewhere that they can spot red miles away... hard to believe, but...

Chesapeake, VA(Zone 7b)

Saw my first on 04/21

Lizella, GA(Zone 8a)

It takes a while for the hummers to find you ,,,Becky.. hang in there.. once they do, they will return...
