I have a number of Iris that I bought at the Houston Bulb Mart. I have some that were obviously mislabeled at the sale because they aren't the color they were supposed to be, so I don't know what I have. Almost all of them are Louisiana Iris. I have one that isn't a Louisiana and I'd like to know what type it is. The foliage is not the sword type of the Louisiana, but more floppy blades like an agapanthus. It's made a large round clump and is spectacular. Can someone tell me if this is a Japanese, Dutch, Siberian, etc???? I do know it's not a bearded. Other than that, I'm lost as to what type this one is.
Iris Question
Both of those are LA Iris.
Thanks, Deb. I thought all the LA iris had the sword type foliage. All my others do, so that's why I thought this was a different type. Thanks again for the help.
Could this be a crested iris? The foliage looks right. Mine hasn't bloomed yet (gift from my gardener sis) so I don't know what the bloom looks like
Lou
Whatever it is it is just beautiful! I love the color.
