Oh I LOVE blue jays. I know they're loud and big bullies and all that but I love 'em.

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

Thanks Judy. Right now our few remaining Jays are very timid. West Nile wiped out so many they are outnumbered by the Redwings.

Nice shots trois...I want some blue jays here, maybe if I put out peanuts.

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

Good luck. They love peanuts but will eat most seeds.

Beachwood, NJ(Zone 6b)

My bluejays favor peanuts in the shell. I just put them on the deck railing and they grab them right up!

Santa Fe, TX(Zone 9b)

Our neighbors just hold them up and they take them from their hand. The Jays also ride around on their head and shoulders. When I go visit I also feed them. They seem to know people, as they are nowhere to be seen when strangers are there.
