finding a doctor

I have recently remarried and my husband is from the northeast. He has moved away from his long time doctor and is looking for a new one here. Does anyone have an idea how to find a new one - I haven't found any good ones here to recommend. A good doctor defined as one that listens and doesn't just pass out drugs for disease they cannot effect.....like antibotics for viruses. I found a good oral surgeon but hopefully won't need one again.

I am open to suggestions out here
