Does it take for a clivia to bloom? Do they like the same type of medium as orchids?

I have no idea but would be interested to know that, too :-) Must be a hard question - lots of views LOL
They can be really stubborn for some. Unless they are VERY tight in their pots AND receive the colder temps during the winter AND give them proper lighting, they can refuse to bloom. The roots should basically split the pot open before you repot it. Once you disturb the roots and/or pot up, it can take years for it to rebloom again.

Well well that is interesting. I put them in 4" pots and will see what happens. I may not be a good clivia Mom.
