Good morning everyone. Please join me in welcoming another one of my friends as a new subscriber to DG. I've been busy, huh :-)

Welcome to my friend Weezers (yep another one subverted)
Welcome, Weezers! She got to you, too, eh?
Ginny - I hope you are getting a recruiting fee! :)
Welcome Weezers!
Joanne
LOL No fees, just the satisfaction of converting more poor souls to my addiction :-)

Welcome aboard Weezers! Can't wait to hear about your favourite garden plants!
Erynne
Hi Weezers! Welcome. What kind of garden do you have?
Good afternoon everyone.........
Looking at the long range forecast - Spring temperatures are coming quickly!! In answer to June here is a summary of my garden.
At this time, both the front of my house and the back is grass - free!! At the back, near the fences, there is periwinkle ground cover with hostas growing to give height and other varigated green colour.
There are a couple of oak barrels which have different annuals each year. This year I might add some colourful vegetables with the annuals as at Canada Blooms this year they said that this was a popular trend in England and Europe.
Close to the deck and on paths are a variety of perrenials, some wildflowers like trilliums, daylilies, lilies, rubeckia, phlox etc.etc.
At the side of my house are roses, other flowering shrubs, etc.
It is a work in progress which improves annually. This Spring I am looking forward to the several hundred bulbs that I planted last Fall (that is, what is left from the squirrels!!!).
In the front of the house is a different version of the back with the addition of a large blue spruce (about 30+ feet tall and a large evergreen bush).
This year one of my objectives is to plant ground cover etc around a tree on the boulevard between the sidewalk and the road to eliminate the last of the grass!! If anyone has any suggestions to accomplish this they would be most welcome!!
Have a wonderful day.............Weezers
Hello Weezers, this is Heather waving from sunny B.C..(for the moment ) I am also slowly getting rid of my grass. We love photos on this forum just so you know !!
Hi Weezers from near Middle of our world.
Ginny you have to tell us, what kind of commission is Dave giving you??? Iris or lilies? Maybe some Texas oil? Find some prairie friends please. Ont. is getting a bit top heavy now.
inanda
LOLOL!!! Honest - no commissions! Wouldn't it be nice though, to maybe earn points toward DG purchases, subscription renewal fees, etc. - Dave's Garden Miles instead of Air Miles :-)
I'd be glad to help you out inanda, except I need to be in close physical proximity to each of my "victims" to be effective.
--Ginny
Although ginny is subtle to entice her 'victims', her skill is in the promotion of a new world of great new friends who share the fascination of the 'green thumb world' as well as an invaluable source of information for those of us who wish to aspire to garden more effectively.
This weekend in our part of the world it will be so exciting as the weather is glorious.
We who reside in Ontario are only catching up to British Columbia who have already had so many Spring flowers. I heard on the Weather Network that in March - is it Vancouver or Victoria - counted all of the Spring blooms and there were millions.
Thanks so much .........Weezer
Aw shucks ma'am, it weren't nothin' (blush).
Hmmmmmmmmmm.......maybe I could get a promotional contract with Dave ;-)

Welcom Wheezers from snowy Alberta! I can't wait to catch up with BC! We will one day I hope!
Looking forward to seeing photo's of all the super described parts of your garden.
Ann
Hi all. Just a quick note to let you all know that Weezers is off travelling this weekend and won't be able to respond to all of your wonderful welcomes and your requests for pics until Monday.
Ann, we reached a gorgeous, sunny high of 18 degrees here yesterday, so we're making progress! I sure hope you get some of that warmth soon.

Hi Weezers from Ann in Ottawa. Hope you enjoy DG.
Hi and welcome, Weezers!

Good afternoon everyone
Thanks so much for your kind 'Welcomes!!'
This weekend I am so looking forward to working in my garden as I am sure all of you are with this warm weather.
In two/three weeks I am travelling to Ottawa for the Tulip Festival...........such glorious colour.
Have a great day everyone..............Weezers
Weezers, if your time permits, give me a call while in Ottawa. Do you know the dates yet?
Ann
Hi Ann
At this time, I am arriving by train on Friday, May 11th and departing on Monday May 14. I am staying at the Chateau Laurier as it is close to everything.
It would be wonderful to speak with you.
How do you wish to arrange this?
Have a great day..............
Weezers,
Hello, and welcome to Dave's Garden, from the windy city! (Well, from right across the street from it...I live close to a corner that has Chicago on one side, Burbank on the other, Oak Lawn on another side, and my town, Hometown.)
I think you'll enjoy the time you'll spend here- the folks are really friendly, and very helpful!
Marsha.
Good morning Marsha
Thanks so much for the welcome comments.
I have been to Chicago a couple of years ago and it is a beautiful city, especially the waterfront.
Have a great day...............
Welcome Weezers. You'll love DG. Gardeners are the best!!
