Here is a picture taken last year in an area of my yard that is shady. I'm going to be doing a job for someone who has a shady balcony and I'd like to get some ideas from some of you on different combinations of shady plants. If you have pics, please post!
What kind of shade is the balcony? Deep shade, partial shade? Does it get any sun at all?
Can't go wrong with coleus and impatiens for sure.

Caladiums do well in shade in containers. I'm not sure, but coleus might work as well.
