First Hummer spotting today at feeder . Got to run out and buy some red flowers. Nothing blooming here. Everything was sapped by record low temps.

I've been watching my feeders but no luck. Maybe a few more days until they get up here.
Will run out and purchase some red flowers. I think they have snap dragons at Home Depot this early....
Last year I bought some of that fusion spray paint in fire engine red and painted all of my old flower pots and hanging baskets with it . Wow, instant Hummers.
Saw first hunner here this AM. I in the same boat a lillte mick, nothing blooming here because of the killing cold snap. Did go to nurseries yesterday a got a few things that were blooming. Saw the hummers at them this AM. Now off to get feeders.
I saw one more Sat. and then yesterday they were everywhere. I didn't get to buy flowers yet, but I am going to HD today to buy the gaudiest of what they have available. It is going to be a long time till my bushes and shrubs come back enough to bloom.
I put up 2 new feeders today(wed 25th), and before I finished hanging the last one, a little male swooped down on the farthes out , and sucked up the nector, like it was the very last.I think he came from a long trip,I now have at least 3 at feeders.Wow!!! Mike

Got my first hummers Saturday and they've been back each day since, Yipee!
