Does anyone know where I can order a plant or some seeds of chocolate mint?
Thanks.
Chocolate Mint?
I can send some I have a 4x6 bed of it ,I grow it for tea.It is very short and a little frostbitten right now,we have had a weird spring.
Thanks, Gardengus. You have mail.
rosethyme, you'll love it! My plant is just becoming established so I can't offer any, but it really is wonderful.
Thanks anyway, Brigidlily. I think Gardengus is sending some. I used to have it at the other house and wish I had dug some up. I think anything that smells like chocolate is wonderful! :)
I'm going to have to pull some soon here, also... it keeps trying to sneak into another part of the bed along the driveway... so LMK if you and Gus don't work something out. Your P. incarnata start still looks great, and I'd love to send you some mint in return! I also have 'Kentucky Colonel' spearmint that I could send you... it's my other favorite mint for nibbling (and for iced tea, and it is fabulous with lamb!).
I'm not sure 'Chocolate Mint' smells all that much like chocolate, but it does have a sweetscent, with none of the harsh overtones that other peppermints can have. You have to close your eyes and really use your imagination to think that it smells like an Andes candy.... :-)
I'll chew a leaf with a stevia leaf and swear I'm having a vegetable Peppermint Pattie! (I'm surprised there's any left...)
Critter, I might have to take you up on the Kentucky Colonel mint...sounds great and I drink iced tea 24/7. Glad the P Incarnata is looking good. Btw, the seeds arrived...thanks so much! Don't forget I have some more for you. Brigidlily, that's a good description. The chocolate mint is a lot like a vegetable peppermint patty. :)
