Today I went to the show and was stunned by the beauty of the show violets.
They were extraordinary. One in particular Ann was incredible. Its leaves were velvety dark green with a wide furry white margin. I have lots of AVs and streps; I would love to trade for Ann, Smooch Me, Pink Summit,
Apache Paradise, Apache Brave, Pow wow, Tomahawk, and Playful Spectrum. I have many varieties of blooming size streps as well as some very pretty AVs. I was just blown away by these show plants!

Gloria, I also went ot the show at Lewis Ginter and ANN was the most beautiful violet I've seen. I would have loved to have gone on Thursday or Friday so I could have bought some of the entries. I was amazed they were so cheap. I talked to the guy who grew Ann and he said he has had no luck trying to root leaves from this one. It will only grow and produce the same thing from grafting.
This was my first AV so so I don't have anything to compare it to but I was a little disappointed it was so small. My Mom and I were in and out in 30 mins!
