Frost damage last weekend

Browns Summit, NC

Hi I am in zone 7a, Piedmont Region of NC

Does anyone have any experience with long term effects of frost damage on Japanese red maple foliage, crepe myrtles (will they still flower), Chinese fringe flowers (frost damage mostly to flowers), bradford pear foliage, azaleas (most flowers destroyed).

Will the frost cause permanent damage to these trees/shrubs, will they put out new leaves this season? I'm so upset, things look pretty bad here after last wkend.

Shenandoah Valley, VA

If these had buds and were hit with frost, they will most likely not bloom this year but it shouldn't kill the plants. Even if you lose some leaves or branch tips to the frost, they should all be okay.

I've had wild cherry trees completely denuded of new leaves by tent catarpillars and then leaf out again, so I would guess most of them will leaf out again.
