If you get it right and want to try them, I'll send you some.....
who am I?
maybe a strep seed pod?
mrsbonnie
I'll guess Aeschynanthus seeds.
I agree with Amy.. Aeschynanthus seeds.
yep..aeschynanthus....final answer :))
yup :-)
Lucky I caught it in time - one more day and the fluff would have been tickling my nose. It does the job magnificently - floating on the wind.
If anyone wants some of the seed, let me know. It's only longicaulis, which isn't the most stunning of flowers. It's one of the parents of Black Pagoda, contributing the leaf pattern.
Pretty please :))
Well, you know I'd love to try it. I'm hooked on seeds now. LOL Wonder who started that?? ;o)
me too!
I would have never known, but they look so similar to the Oleander Seed Pods from my front yard. I collected bags full of them last year, sowed some ... seedlings sprang up, got about 2" tall and then died! I had 3 of those large (2gal) zip lok bags full of the pods but they ended up sitting out in the humidity in my Florida Room and got moldy so I threw them out. When I mowed the lawn last week they were everywhere again (not quite as many as I collected in the fall), but I just mowed them up! I will try again another time when I have a bit more patience and can give better care! I love Oleanders except when we have the huge Orange Catepillar outbreaks where they strip the leaves off the trees! I'll go right now and take a pic of the White one in bloom in the yard now and maybe I can get a pic of a seed pod too: Back in a sec ........ Well, it's windy outside and this is not from me leaning ... a few of our trees are still leaning from the 2004 Hurricane's - 3 Cane's came through here in a five week period!
Oops ..... Sorry ... I just realized I shouldn't have posted this here. Wrong Thread!
