Thanks,
Yes, they are sisters - exact opposite markings!

Hi there Karen and welcome!
.... so did Ginny lead you astray with the gardening bug, or do you have your own green thumb? ;-) What do you like to grow, besides cute kitties, of course!?

Sandy

Calgary, AB(Zone 3a)

Yes, yes tell us what you like to grow! (I'm sure you will add to your list substantially, as we all have, once you hang around DG's for awhile!)

Joanne

Blyth, ON(Zone 5b)

Just stepping in to let you all know that Karen is pretty busy tonight. I doubt if she'll get a chance to respond until tomorrow morning.

What I can tell you though, is that I have been my usual evil influence :-) I even talked her into trying some winter sowing this year!

White Lake, ON(Zone 4b)

Uh-hah! I knew it! I wouldn't call you evil by a long shot, Ginny, but I bet you can be very influential!

Lovemykitties Welcome from the top half of Alberta!
Very photogenic girls you have. Looking forward to see what you like to garden with , other than the girls and Ginny of course.

Yes, I would have to say Ginny has led me astray with the winter sowing. Although, I have always enjoyed gardening, I now have 12 pop bottles sitting out on my deck and am patiently waiting for little sprouts. There is lavetara(sp?), black hollyhocks, 4 o'clocks, geez - can't remember them all!!
I do have 12 silver cup lavetaras sprouting in the house that i need to re-pot this weekend - i blame it all on Ginny!

Elaine, that just makes me wish I could crawl right into that picture and sit a spell. Absolutely enchanting spot.

thanx u 2! We've made considerable changes since this photo. Today a friend & I went to Tropic to Tropic, and Bit O Paradise in the very southerly area of Vancouver...had an absolute wonderful time! Purchased oodles of Goodies! E

Welcome LoveMyKitties!

Roselaine, glad you had a chance to visit Tropic to Tropic on a nice day.

Welcome LoveMyKitties! A friend of Ginny's is a friend of ours!

Steven

London, ON(Zone 6a)

Again, thanks for all of the welcomes! What a beautiful garden, Elaine.

I don't really have a specialty - lots of different things - hyacynths, daffodils, crocus, and allium for my bulbs. Lemon thyme, oregano, sage, lavendar and chives for herbs. Boxwoods, potentillas, cedam, euonymus, coral bells, and strawberry vines for plants and bushes. Lots of ivey and periwinkle for ground cover.
I'm sure I've left some things out but that's a start - A real mishmash of stuff!
Hopefully, my winter sowing will produce lots of good stuff but this is my first time and I'm not feeling too confident (Ginny talked me into that one!)

Karen

Blyth, ON(Zone 5b)

Oh sure! Blame me if it doesn't work out :-) Do I get the credit if it works well?

--Ginny

London, ON(Zone 6a)

Oh, but of course, credit will be given where credit is due! After all, you are the gardening guru!

Peachland B.C., BC(Zone 5a)

Welcome from the interior of B.C. and we B.C.er's are not all in the banana belt.
We have just lost the last of the snow and crocuses are blooming, Nothing more.
My favorite time of year though, going out in the a.m. to see what new sprouts are happening.

Lynn
