cool I have never seen a larvae like that - odd that the butterfly is common but larvae is hard to find! What plant was it on?

I just happened to notice it on a peach tree that is under a hackberry. That was in 2006 I think, and haven't seen any since; but one adult did make an appearance last year. So they are few and far inbetween.
